Marine Fragrances

A marine accord evokes sea air, saltwater, ocean spray, driftwood, wet rocks, and coastal wind. It is related to aquatic freshness but often feels more saline, mineral, breezy, and outdoorsy. Marine notes are common in summer fragrances, fresh masculine styles, coastal florals, sporty scents, and modern musks. They pair well with sea salt, citrus, lavender, sage, algae, watery florals, ambergris-like materials, cedar, musk, vetiver, and light amber notes. Some marine accords are crisp and clean, while others feel briny, windswept, metallic, or sunlit. The effect can make a perfume feel refreshing, casual, expansive, and naturally airy.
