Powdery Fragrances

A powdery accord smells soft, dry, cosmetic, and velvety, often suggesting face powder, baby powder, lipstick, talc, rice powder, or finely milled florals. It may come from iris, violet, heliotrope, mimosa, musk, tonka bean, vanilla, aldehydes, resins, or soft woods. In fragrance, powdery notes can make compositions feel elegant, comforting, vintage, clean, or intimate. They pair beautifully with rose, iris, lavender, amber, musk, sandalwood, almond, leather, and floral bouquets. Some powdery accords are sweet and fluffy, while others are dry, chalky, cosmetic, or suede-like. The effect adds softness and texture, often smoothing sharp florals, spices, and woods.
