Rum Fragrances

A rum accord smells boozy, warm, sweet, and molasses-like, often suggesting dark rum, sugarcane, oak barrels, caramel, dried fruit, vanilla, or spiced cocktails. In fragrance, it adds rich gourmand or ambered warmth without always smelling overtly alcoholic. Rum pairs naturally with vanilla, tonka bean, tobacco, cinnamon, clove, coffee, cacao, leather, woods, dried fruits, coconut, and amber resins. Some versions feel syrupy and dessert-like, while others are smoky, woody, spicy, or leathery. The accord can make a perfume feel festive, nocturnal, tropical, or sensual, giving depth and warmth to compositions that need a rounded, intoxicating character.
