Tobacco Fragrances

A tobacco accord smells warm, dry, leafy, honeyed, and aromatic, with facets that can suggest pipe tobacco, cured leaves, cigars, hay, leather, dried fruit, spice, or smoky sweetness. In fragrance, tobacco often adds richness and maturity to amber, woody, leather, gourmand, and spicy compositions. It pairs especially well with vanilla, tonka bean, rum, cinnamon, clove, honey, cherry, cacao, patchouli, labdanum, cedar, and smoky notes. Some tobacco accords are sweet and plush, while others are dry, green, smoky, or leathery. The effect can feel cozy, refined, nocturnal, or vintage, giving a perfume depth and textured, slow-burning warmth.
