Vanilla Fragrances

A vanilla accord smells sweet, warm, creamy, and comforting, but it can also feel smoky, woody, spicy, boozy, leathery, or resinous depending on how it is built. It may suggest vanilla bean, custard, frosting, tonka-like warmth, ambery resins, or dry vanilla pod. In fragrance, vanilla is central to gourmands, ambers, musks, tobacco scents, and many floral compositions. It pairs naturally with caramel, chocolate, coffee, almond, rose, jasmine, lavender, woods, spices, patchouli, leather, and musk. Some vanilla accords are soft and skin-like, while others are dark, syrupy, or opulent. The note gives perfumes warmth, sweetness, longevity, and broad appeal.
